Bioshock Infinite Delayed

The release of Bioshock Infinite has been delayed until next year, it has been revealed. Previously announced for an October 2012 release, the game will now launch on 26th February 2013 – which should give you plenty of time to finish Black Ops 2 and Assassin’s Creed 3 before it comes out. Twice, probably.

Irrational’s Ken Levine announced the delay with a wealth of positive spin on the matter, praising just how big the game truly is and stating that the delay will ensure that it’s even better than it would have been had it hit the planned release period. There’s also a rumour around that multiplayer functions are in the works.

As a result of this put-back, the game will not be on show at E3 or Gamescom this year. Of course, we here at Itchy Towers feel that the real reason for the delay is not because of needing extra time to perfect the game, or fear of it being lost amongst the big late 2012 release, but in fact specifically to ruin our Games of 2012 article. Because we’re egotistical like that.
