FIFA 12 has maintained its run of good selling form by topping the UK Charts for a fifth consecutive week. Another 7 days of units shifted means that EA’s latest footie sim has now become the highest-grossing sports video game in the UK of all time. That clunking sound you just heard was several Konami employees banging their heads against their desks repeatedly.
With new releases still at a minimum right now, the main chart intrigue comes from sale-priced titles gaining new leases of life, with Saints Row: The Third and Rayman Origins both making returns to the Top 10, while WWE 12 also sneaked back into the Top 20 during the build up to the annual Royal Rumble event. Continued attempts to counter-act all that extra eating done over Christmas were also seen as Wii Fit Plus continued to rise back up the places.
The UK All-Formats Top 20 is as follows:
1. FIFA 12 (EA Sports)
2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda)
