New Doctor Who Game Revealed

Doctor Who The Eternity Clock

A new Doctor Who game is on its way to consoles and PC. BBC Worldwide today released a teaser trailer for The Eternity Clock, which will put gamers in control of The Doctor and occasional companion (and more, it’s complicated) River Song.

While showing no actual footage from the game, the trailer does reveal that the game will come to Playstation 3, PS Vita and PC. There’s no mention of a Microsoft release, not any official word as to whether it’ll be a physical or digital release (although the presence of the Playstation Network logo does suggest the latter).

Development duties are being handled by Supermassive Games, whose work includes the Start the Party games, Tumble, and Little Big Planet 2 DLC. With a background in Move related games, it suggests that we might see a fair bit of sonic screwdriver pointing in the PS3 version. Whatever happens, here’s hoping that it’s a darn site better than the last console adventure for the Doctor (Wii title “Return to Earth”). Well, let’s face it, it couldn’t get much worse.
