Nintendo has revealed their new home console at E3, Wii U.
The new innovative console comes with a 6.2 inch touch screen control pad, is HD, and will be backward compatible with Wii games.
Wii U supports high-quality HD images wirelessly transmitted between the TV screen and game controller. It includes two thumb sticks, face buttons, a D-pad, a built-in camera, two trigger buttons, an accelerometer and a microphone. It can also be used in conjunction with the Wii Remote, Balance Board and Nunchuk.
Don’t be fooled, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said the controller has not been designed to be a portable gaming system.
Major titles are supporting the Wii U, including Darksiders II, Ghost Recon Online, Ninja Gaiden 3, Aliens Colonial Marines, Dirt, Metro Last Night, Tekken, Batman Arkham City, and Assassin’s Creed, amongst their own first party tiles, including Smash Bros. 4.
“The hands will basically be tethered together.” Yeah, because we haven’t been doing that for the last 30 years. They also stated in the article that the controller feels light and comfortable.
