Sonic Adventure due this month

Sonic Adventure Returns on September 15

Originally a launch title for the Sega Dreamcast, Sonic Adventure is set to return once again for Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network in September. The re-released 3D platform game will emerge on the 15th of September for a price of 800 Microsoft Points. While no PSN priced has been confirmed, past history would suggest a £7.99 price point.

Sonic Adventure was first released in 1998 in Japan, and 1999 for the Western and European console launches. It was later re-released on PC and Gamecube as Sonic Adventure DX, mixing the original game with new challenges as well as a collection of old Sonic hand-held titles from the Game Gear era to unlock.

The main game saw the blue hedgehog from a brand new viewpoint, and also introduced several new playable characters to go alongside the previous trio of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, as well as the cute and loveable Chao characters. Perhaps the only one remaining question is whether we can modify our old VMUs to stick into current consoles?!?
