The sequel to the awesome Batman: Arkham Asylum is called Arkham City, as revealed by Warner Bros.
Arkham City takes the action to, well, Arkham City. Yes, that’s Arkham City not Gotham. Arkham City is a new maximum security prison city with heavily fortified walls, located in the heart of Gotham. When the prisoners run riot, it’s once again up to the Bat to save the day.
According to Warner Bros., Arkham City “draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.”
Game Informer has also revealed the cover for the next edition of their magazine, revealing the new title and Batman tied up with Catwoman. It’s an awesome looking cover too.
Batman: Arkham City is due for release in autumn 2011 for PS3, 360 and PC.

I’m a bit disappointed it’s in a prison again. I was hoping for the whole of Gotham City to free roam in. Maybe that’ll be in the 3rd game!

What idiots at Gotham thought putting a prison city in their city was smart? Do they not realize people get out of the prison located in the middle of the ocean all the time? Did they just give up and forget to lock the prison city?
Forgot to say in my last post: The next batman game should be
“Left 4 Batman” It would have batman fight L4D2 Zombies with his Arkham Asyum gear and moves.

The whole point is though, Gotham would be way too big for a map. It’s based on New York, the idea of a city sized prison is way more intense anyway.

OMG OMG OMG I cant wait for this. Batman arkham asylum was the first game i brought when i got my first PS3 Console which was the best gaming experience ever. Bring on Batman Arkham City…Superman Sucks lol
Catwoman looks awful. Why did they use those awful goggles. And even when they’re off her face she doesn’t look that attractive. Fail again, DC
