An Important Appeal to all Gamers

itchythumb01

Here at Itchy Thumbs, we like to have fun and a bit of a joke around, but every so often a serious cause comes about that we’d like to spend a small amount of time to talk to our readers about, in the hope that it will open their eyes to some of life’s more pressing issues.

Every day, millions of people are risking their lives on battlefields in the middle-east, while over-paid primadonnas roll around on grass pretending that they’re hurt. The gap in pay between these two professions is absolutely staggering, and something that many people have chosen to make a cause of on social networking sites like Facebook.

Today, we ask all those people to shut up for a minute, because there’s a far bigger injustice going on. Across the globe, there are many millions more people who have fought on the battlefields AND scored the winner in the World Cup Final, and they’re not getting paid to do this.

Not only have these people risked their lives (and died several times) in Afghanistan, on the beaches of World War 2, and sometimes even in space, they have also had to witness several horrific atrocities during their time. Like Shellshock 2: Blood Trails.

Therefore, the time has come to launch the “Video Gamers should be paid more than soldiers and footballers combined” appeal. We ask all of you to give this your full support, and even copy and paste the appeal name into your Facebook status or onto your Twitter feeds to ensure that this important message hits home. Thank you for your time.
